Above Eleven
Abu Dhabi
At a glance
Above Eleven is a rooftop restaurant and bar at Palm West Beach on Palm Jumeirah, positioned 14 floors above the shoreline at the Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah. The elevated setting gives the venue views towards Dubai Marina, the Burj Al Arab and the Palm, with the terrace providing an open-air backdrop for evening dining and drinks.
The menu centres on Nikkei cuisine, bringing together Japanese techniques and Peruvian flavours. Sushi, ceviche, tiradito, tempura, grilled dishes and wagyu feature among the styles represented, with plates designed for sharing. The cooking combines the clean presentation associated with Japanese food with the lively acidity, spice and citrus often found in Peruvian dishes.
The bar focuses on Pisco-based cocktails alongside a wider drinks selection. Cocktails are part of the experience rather than an afterthought, making the venue suitable for a sunset drink, a pre-dinner stop or a longer evening built around shared food and mixed drinks. Wine is also available.
Above Eleven has a polished but energetic atmosphere. Early evenings can suit relaxed dining and sunset views, while the mood becomes more animated as the resident DJ shapes the soundtrack later in the night. The combination of rooftop scenery, Nikkei food and music gives the venue a social feel that works for date nights, celebratory dinners and groups looking for a late evening in Dubai. It also offers an elevated dining option for travellers visiting from Abu Dhabi.
Smart-casual dress is required, with beachwear, sportswear, shorts and open-toe shoes not permitted for gentlemen, apart from kandura. Families are welcome in the dining area during the early evening, while later access follows an adults-only policy. The terrace, bar and lounge are reserved for guests aged 21 and above.
Above Eleven is open for evening service, with the venue listing hours from Wednesday to Sunday, 5pm until 1am, and final kitchen orders at 12:30am. Reservations are recommended, particularly for tables intended to make the most of the rooftop setting.
